Our Amarr dealers are familiar with Entrematic’s Door Centers. Entrematic currently has 83 all across North America, with plans to open more! Our Door Centers are the lifeblood of our business model, serving our customers expertly and efficiently. The Team Members at our Door Centers (or DCs) are often the people that our customers contact most. These Team Members keep the DC running like clockwork to provide excellent service.

Each Door Center hosts an Open House event every other year. The Open House is like a family “get together” dealers come to socialize with Team Members, visit with vendors, and eat some delicious food. There are even door prizes for attendees and sometimes special offers during the hours of the Open House! Warehouses turn into showrooms as new products are showcased for dealers to see in person and not just in photos. The Open House serves as a local new product showcase for many dealers who are not able to go to the IDA Expo.

To prepare for the event, the Team Members and managers put their heads together to plan a successful event. John Henderson, a District Service Manager for Entrematic, gathers feedback from everyone to help plan his Open Houses. “I try and coordinate a conference call with the Door Center general manager, the area sales manager, and myself we base our decisions off a planning guide so everyone is on the same page. We decide, as a group, what products to display: new products, products that customers in the area would particularly like to see, and other popular products.”

In the fast-paced garage door industry, dealers don’t often get to sit down with Entrematic DC Team Members or managers, or visit with vendors like LiftMaster and Linear. Our Open House events are a way of showing gratitude to our dealers for their business by inviting them to visit and mingle, while seeing what’s new at the Door Center and with Entrematic.

John says, “Dealers love to come in and visit with us and our vendors, and give us their feedback on products. They also look forward to seeing Entrematic Team Members that they haven’t seen in a while, or even ones they haven’t met before. They enjoy coming in to talk garage doors with other people who are knowledgeable about the garage door industry!”

Entrematic Team Members Have Fun & Win Big!

The garage door business can be a lot of fun! Team Members at the Entrematic Mocksville, NC manufacturing facility showed that by coming together last month to celebrate co-workers with perfect attendance.

Called the “Spin to Win” event, each eligible Team Member is given a large plush die. They then “roll the dice” to see what they will win. Prizes this year included a television, an iPad, a mini refrigerator, and a grill.

Lawrence College and Career Center and Peaslee Tech Update with New Amarr Commercial Doors

Our partners, Lawrence College and Career Center and The Dwayne Peaslee Technical Training Center (Peaslee Tech) in Lawrence, Kansas, prepare students for careers in technical fields and manufacturing fields, and help them hone other professional skills. Entrematic advises on curriculum and lean support in manufacturing programs. “It’s a benefit to have facilities close by to educate present and future Entrematic team members on skills that will make them successful,” said Greg Beck, Senior Production Manager at Entrematic’s Lawrence, Kansas manufacturing plant.

As part of this partnership, Amarr commercial doors were installed in the Career and Training Centers. Four Amarr 3502 Aluminum Full View doors in clear anodized finish and white are used to create open concept classrooms in the Lawrence College and Career Center, connecting all the classrooms to an open atrium area. The three Amarr 2402 sectional steel doors at Peaslee Tech provide easy access to move equipment and material in and out of classrooms.

Entrematic, Aerotek & Meritrust Credit Union Contribute to Just Food, Douglas County

This holiday season, Entrematic and our partner Aerotek teamed up with Meritrust Credit Union to give back to the community in Douglas County, Kansas. For every Entrematic Team Member that opened a membership account and a checking account at Meritrust Credit Union, MCU added $50 into the Team Member’s new checking account, and put another $50 into a charity account for Entrematic.

The initiative spanned three months and benefited Just Food, a food pantry in Douglas County. Entrematic Team Members raised $950 for Just Food! “This check will provide meals to 63 people this holiday season,” said Susan Moszeter, People Department Coordinator at Entrematic’s facility in Lawrence, Kansas. “Last month, Just Food fed 4,000 people in the community – it’s awesome that Entrematic and Aerotek can help with that!”

Entrematic Gives Back with United Way Fundraiser

Entrematic’s Support Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina put together a silent auction and a chili cook-off to benefit the annual United Way campaign. The proceeds from the chili cook-off were given to the United Way of Forsyth County. Donations from both events totaled over $1400! Below are photos from the fun events.

The kitchen at Entrematic was stocked with nearly 20 crockpots full of different flavors and types of chili.

Each Team Member got to sample the dishes and vote for their favorite.

Entrematic’s atrium was packed with various items for our silent auction.

Items were donated by Entrematic employees and departments, partners, and vendors.

Thank you to everyone who made our fundraiser a success!
